We ride all breeds including Quarter Horses, TN Walking Horses, Appaloosas, Arabians, Racking Horses, Rocky Mountain Saddle Horse, Paso Finos, Missouri Fox Trotters, and everything in between...and we would like to invite you to ride with us.
Our club offers 12 monthly rides, always held on the second Saturday of each month. We usually offer several different groups in which to ride, from trot/canter all day to flat-foot walk. So, we generally have a group to fit everyone's riding style.
In addition to our monthly rides, we offer a monthly newsletter to keep everyone informed, monthly meetings (except in the summer months when everyone is too busy riding) and an organized 4-day trail ride in the fall (usually at Big South Fork).
Our club is dedicated to achieving the following chartered purposes:
- To promote equine recreation and pleasure through club activities.
- To educate members on the training, care and, recreational enjoyment of horses.
- To educate, encourage, and solicit active participation by both members and the general public in the wise and sustaining use of public trails and land designated for horse use.
- To work with public legislators and agencies to ensure that public lands remain open to recreational horse use.
- To assist agencies responsible for the management of public lands that allow horse use.
Our meetings are held in Knoxville in the Pendergrass Library/
College
of Veterinary Medicine building of the University of Tennessee at 7:30 p.m. the first Tuesday of each
month, excluding June, July, and August. The December meeting will be
our Christmas supper on Friday, 12/7/07, at the UT Plant Science
BioTechnical Building, 2505 Chapman Drive, Knoxville..
